Virtual Reality, Gamification for Inclusion and Language Learning Interaction


Objective : Creating a prototype of a virtual environnement for students
Expected results:
- An enhanced undertanding of the VR learning environnement's effect on foreign/second language students and their VR interaction behaviours, and thus VR interaction's potential to substitute for students' interaction on campus.
- Based on this, and on whether or not a VR lear environnement can contribute to students maintening motivation and sense of belonging.
- An insight into how oral training in language studies may be manifested in serious games and improve language interaction skills (speaking and listening).
- Through student engagement and challenge-based learning as a method in the IO, improved serious game creation skills among participating Game Development Programme students.
